THE
GITFIDDLE REVIEW
Joe
created his own show, "The Gitfiddle Review", highlighting
his skills as composer, arranger, guitar and fiddle player.
He adds his own ideas to the styles of Les Paul, Chet Atkins, Merle
Travis by adding counterpoint basslines, jazzier chords, and lead
lines in four-part harmony.
He
tours with the accompanying parts on DAT tapes, on which he has
played all the parts on all the instruments to secure a unique sound.
Joe's approach has been successful enough to launch his international
career. Part of this success has been a #8 hit on the New Zealand
charts.
His show has toured Japan, U.S.A., Australia, New Zealand, Great
Britain, France, Belgium, Luxemburg, Germany, Switzerland, Finland,
Sweden and Russia.
The
Rickenbacker Guitar Company put out a limited edition of Joe Edwards'
guitars in the late '50's, recognizing the increasing popularity
of his talent.
Joe

Bloomington Symphony Orchestra and Steve Bayless, from the Dallas
Pops as guest conductor. |
